Greetings from the REACH Program!
REACH is now in its 4th year at The University of Iowa with 41 students from Iowa and across the United States! As you may recall, REACH is an inclusive, campus-based two year certificate program for 18-25 year olds with intellectual and learning disabilities.
REACH has a talented and dedicated staff who teach, advise, mentor, and individualize program planning for each student. REACH students learn to navigate the campus and larger community. They live in the residence halls and take core REACH courses and classes with other university students. REACH students enjoy campus social activities, explore job opportunities, and participate in internships in the community.
Generous REACH Scholarships make the REACH Program affordable! To date over $350,000 of scholarship awards have been made.
Visit the REACH web site at www.education.uiowa.edu/reach to learn more about this unique and exciting opportunity at a Big 10 University.
Please share this e-mail with families and other professionals. Include “preparing for REACH” in your student’s IEP!
For more information or to arrange a campus tour, please call the REACH office at 319-384-2127 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for sharing the REACH Program with others.
