Rice Lake is AP Honor Roll Recipient

Posted on 12/12/2017

The Rice Lake Area School District is extremely proud to announce that it has been selected by the College Board to be included on the 8th Annual AP Honor Roll.

Of all school districts in the United States and Canada, only 447 districts were deemed worthy enough to receive this distinguished accolade. (As a reference point, there are approximately 13,500 school districts in the United States alone.)

To earn this prestigious award, a school district needed to:

- Increase participation/access to AP (Advanced Placement) by at least 4 percent in large districts, at least 6 percent in medium districts, and at least 11 percent in small districts.

- Increase or maintain the percentage of exams taken by African American, Hispanic/Latino, and American Indian/Alaska Native students.

- Improve performance levels when comparing the percentage of students in 2017 scoring a 3 or higher to those in 2015, unless the district has already attained a performance level at which more than 70 percent of its AP students are scoring a 3 or higher.

The Rice Lake Area School District has pledged itself to preparing each and every one of our students for the best and brightest future they can possibly attain, and being included on the College Board's AP Honor Roll is a testament to that goal.
